OUR IN-PERSON CAPACITY IS FULL, SO REGISTER FOR ONLINE VIEWING.
The 2022 Chicago Energy Transformation Code, based on the 2021 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code, applies to projects where the first permit application is started on or after November 1, 2022. Additional requirements of this code will apply to projects where the first permit application is started on or after January 1, 2023.
Learn how to work with the code from:
- Grant Ullrich, Assoc. AIA, Managing Deputy Commissioner, Chicago Dept. of Buildings
- Emily Purcell, Sustainability Lead, Solomon Cordwell Buenz
- Saagar Patel, PE, Operations Director of Commissioning & Energy, Environmental Systems Design, Inc.
- Katie Kaluzny, Assistant Director, Illinois Green Alliance - moderator
- Douglas Farr, FAIA, FCNU, Farr Associates - brief introduction to Energy Revolution exhibit
In addition, for those attending in person, this is your final chance to see the exhibit Energy Revolution, co-curated by Doug Farr and CAC, which closes January 10. The exhibit demonstrates how we can actively respond to the climate crisis by transforming our use of energy in the built environment. It highlights the ways individuals, corporations and city leaders can work toward a carbon-free future. The exhibit will be open from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.
To register for this event, whether in person or online, visit our Eventbrite at 2022 Chicago Energy Transformation Code: Know & Go!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Attendees should enter the main entrance to 111 East Wacker Drive (just west of the CAC entrance) and take the escalator to the second floor. At the second floor, a CAC staff person will direct you to the CAC Lecture Hall.
