Hosted by Ciao Chicago - an organization and space dedicated to Italian cultural, arts and business activities - and sponsored by AIA Chicago, Joan Craig, AIA, partner at Litchen Craig Architecture and Interiors, and Alireza Khatami, professor at the School of Cinematic Arts at DePaul University, will discuss how filmmakers use architecture not as content or as a backdrop, but as a device to materialize the inner conflict of their characters. This will be demonstrated with short clips from different Italian movies in which architectural elements are strategically used.
