IMC, an international technology-driven trading firm, selected SCB to design their renovation and expansion in Willis Tower. SCB's design approach for the 60,000-square-foot project focused on creating a new workplace that would reflect the firm's forward-thinking culture, emphasizing their commitment to innovation and collaboration. The design supports these principles with a variety of informal meeting spaces for group work and an expansive, flexible training area. Working within the iconic building, SCB embraced the building structure, exposing the beams and trusses and turning them into a design feature. A new staircase connects the floors, supporting interaction between departments and linking the trading floor with the conference center. The finishes and furnishings bring a hospitality feeling to the public spaces through the use of warm natural woods, distinctive lighting, and the restrained use of color.
Due to security requirements, reservations are required by 5:00 pm on July 24. No photography is permitted on this tour.
Tour limited to 22 people. Preference given to AIA Chicago members.
