About Us

Since our relocation to the Chicago area in 1989, we have designed hundreds of commercial and residential projects, from new construction to rehabilitation and additions. We have a very diverse clientele ranging from homeowners to business owners to tenants to facility managers. Three areas of expertise: RESIDENTIAL Our rehabs, additions and new construction are primarily in the Chicago metropolitan area though we work in other parts of the US as well. Our residential work has received national and local attention in awards programs and publications such as AIA Chicago Architect, Preservation, Chicago Tribune, Builder, Remodeling, Chicago Home, Better Homes and Gardens, House Beautiful and Traditional Home. AUTO DEALERSHIPS. Becker Architects has designed over 30 automobile dealerships in the Chicago and Milwaukee metro areas since the mid 1990’s. We’ve worked with many of the major automobile manufacturers including Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Saturn, Subaru, Toyota, Volvo and others. GENERAL COMMERCIAL: New ground up buildings, tenant build-outs, retail, office and others. We are licensed in Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Arizona and Wisconsin. We have City of Chicago Self-Certification. We have LEED AP on staff. We are members of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, US Green Building Council and International Code Council. We subscribe to the AIA Canon of Ethics.
