Since 3M earned the world’s first patent for sun control window films, the company's innovative products have helped provide protection from the sun for five decades. This program will consist of two back to back presentations on the following:
Sun Control Window Films
An overview of the significant role solar control window film can play in energy savings, occupant comfort including heat gain/loss, glare, and daylighting strategies for architectural applications. See new concept film materials being introduced that 1) capture light at the window and directs it up to the ceiling, penetrating as much as forty feet into a space, and 2) essentially add another layer of glass to your existing windows, allowing single pane windows to perform like double panes, and double panes to perform like a triple pane assembly!
Window Films for Safety and Security Applications
In light of event driven tragedies including extreme weather and active shooting events, this presentation will provide an overview of safety and security window film and attachment systems for forced entry, windstorm and blast mitigation, as well as for safety glazing, spontaneous glass combustion, and anti-graffiti.
