Acoustic Performance of Interior Architecture: Capitol One 360 Café
Capital One 360 Cafe, 21 East Chestnut Street
Join IIDA Chicago in welcoming Zackery Belanger, co-founder of the acoustic design firm Archgeometer, for this unique and informational learning event. Zach, an acoustician from New York City, is a designer, researcher, consultant and artist whose work is centered in the acoustic performance of architecture. Zach will be addressing the problems and concerns of acoustic projects, what solutions work, don't work, and why. Following his presentation, there will be a Q&A, so be sure to come prepared with questions!
Our event takes place in a new type of retail bank: a Capital One 360 Café. As the bank states:
Capital One is a new kind of bank, one that's built on digital tools and human connections. People are at the heart of everything we do, so we keep the banking experience simple and straightforward—whether you're mobile, online, at the ATM or in one of our Capital One 360 Cafés, where our approach to banking comes to life. Here, you can take care of everyday banking needs with our friendly associates and fee-free ATMs, learn more about Capital One, or just get cozy with free Wi-Fi and hand-crafted Peet's® beverages.
Registration begins at 5:30pm, with the presentation starting at 6 and ending at 7:30pm. Appetizers and drinks will be provided.
This program is approved for 1 hour IIDA credit and 1 AIA LU/HSW. IIDA Chicago and AIA Chicago members are free; the non-member cost is $20.
