AIA Contract Documents: An Introduction

Are you new to AIA contract documents? Are there questions about documents you’ve always wanted to ask? AIA Chicago member Jonathan Orlove, who is a member of the national AIA Contract Documents Committee, will provide an introduction and overview of AIA Contract Documents, including a brief description of the content creation process and an explanation of the organization and structure of the suite of documents and document families. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
Attendees will learn:
- The wide variety of available documents and how to select those appropriate for a specific application
- How certain documents are complementary to one another and can be used by various parties on a single project
- Issues that are of specific interest to owners, architects and contractors
- Resources available to document users to assist them in understanding document content and completing them
