Going Beyond C-19: Agility and Moving Forward with the Built Environment
Online
How are schools, offices, and hotels responding to COVID-19?
In corporate real estate, “resilience” has become the impetus for many studies, action plans and mission statements. However, authentic resilience must be actuated with an agility in our buildings and management practices. “Resilience is our ability to quickly and effectively recover from a challenging situation. ... Agility is our ability to move quickly and decisively and to do so with some ease and comfort.” (American Management Association). As we all come to terms with COVID 19, changes to business workflow and thereby to the built environment are happening quickly. The current pandemic has shown us more than ever the importance of being prepared for change. In this session, we will talk to four industry leaders about how agility is critical in responding to future pandemics. The roundtable conversation will focus on four specific building typologies: home, learning, workplace, and hospitality.
