Canstruction is a unique worldwide charity which hosts competitions, exhibitions, and events showcasing colossal structures made entirely out of full cans of food.
Now in its thirteenth year, ChicagoCAN is a celebration of the more than 50 Chicago architectural, engineering, and construction firms that donate their time and talents toward Canstruction Chicago’s annual design-build competition. It is the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s largest single-day food drive of the year. Our 2019 event will showcase 19 works of art that our teams have been planning for months. Canstruction Chicago will be on display in the Merchandise Mart from October 11 through November 3.
All proceeds from the event go directly to the Food Depository - feeding the nearly 1 in 6 people who is food insecure in our area. Last year's event made Canstruction Chicago the third largest cash donor to a local food bank, out of all Canstruction competitions in North America. Let's see if we can top that this year!
