D-Profiler, Bringing Your Healthcare Project to Life

D-Profiler is a conceptual modeling software that provides a high-level graphical representation of a project while also generating a detailed cost estimate. The model can be based on something as simple as a napkin sketch, which can be scanned and loaded into the software as a reference to create a basic 3D mass of the building. Slab areas and exterior cladding can be measured based on the model, while the interiors are added using historical metrics pulled from Cumming’s extensive benchmark library of projects. Any changes that are made to the model are reflected in the cost estimate in real time.
One advantage of creating this type of estimate is that it allows for a budget to be backed up with a detailed estimate rather than just a cost-per-square-foot number. This detailed estimate can be used as a target for the design team that’s brought on board the project. During our presentation, we will give a live demonstration of D-profiler creating a construction cost budget of a medical office building: we will start with a sketch and end with a 3D model. Along the way, you will learn about how to read and understand this budget so that it can be effectively used as a target for the design.
