Emerging Landscape for Building Wellness Frameworks and Best Practices
AIA Chicago, 35 East Wacker Drive, Suite 250, Chicago
The market for certified healthy buildings continues to evolve. While WELL remains the main choice for the corporate workplace, it remains relatively out of reach for most of the other market sectors due to the cost and level of stringency. Meanwhile, Fitwel, RESET, and even LEED have made inroads into the certification space, and there are now multiple options for using the green building and healthy building rating systems in a complementary manner that delivers the desired sustainability, health, and wellness outcomes. This session will review these competing frameworks and review the differences in the metrics and specific strategies. The session will answer questions such as:
- What does Fitwel include that WELL doesn’t?
- What can RESET offer for any project?
- What is the right choice for my specific project?
- And how can emerging smart building sensors and data management support goals for healthy buildings that were previously out of reach?
The program will begin at 6:00 pm.
