Energy Feedback Loops – During Design and After Construction
AIA Chicago, 35 East Wacker Drive, #250
Design is becoming increasingly reliant on using data to drive design decisions. The issue often faced by design teams is that during early design (when the impact of decisions is the greatest) there is often a dearth of information available. Analytical models are often time consuming and cannot keep up with the pace of decisions during early design. This session will describe early building modeling tools with interactive dashboard type interfaces, and how you can use these tools to have conversations with your clients about energy. The session will also describe the measurement and verification process with examples from a real project.
