Healthcare Regulations and Facility Design
Herman Miller Showroom, Merchandise Mart, Suite 321
What are the four things that you, as a designer, need to know before leaving the first meeting with a new healthcare client? The most important issues are: who is the owner of the property and/or project; what type of facility are you designing; what is your scope of services; and when will you get paid. This presentation will address many of these issues. After this presentation you will (1) know where to locate federal and state requirements for different types of facilities; (2) identify potential contract and payment stumbling blocks; and (3) understand recent industry approaches employed by facility owners and operators.
