IDPH 2019 Healthcare Facility Update

Anyone who has done a healthcare project in the State of Illinois is familiar with the role of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) in enforcing licensure standards for hospitals, ambulatory surgery and long-term care facilities. IDPH returns to provide valuable updates on the requirements for healthcare facility project submission, review, inspection and occupancy. Dennis Schmitt, Supervisor, Design and Construction Section, Illinois Department of Public Health, will also review current design and construction issues for both Illinois healthcare project licensure, as well as requirements under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

- Enter Lurie Children's Hospital from the first-floor entrance on Chicago Avenue or through the second-floor bridge from the Superior Street parking structure.
- Check in at the second-floor security desk.
