Over Cladding an Icon: O’Hare United Terminal 1 Roof & Glazing Case Study

Improving the performance of existing buildings is recognized to reduce building emissions and positively impact occupant comfort. This presentation will be a case study of the Over Clad project completed for United Airlines for Terminal 1 at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. The design team will review the necessity for the project along with some of the structural and aesthetic boundaries they were working with as they developed the solution. The contractor will showcase the innovative systems they developed to allow this work to precede without disrupting operations at one of the busiest airport terminals in the world.
