Mediation for the Design Professional

Online

Mediation is a cost-effective dispute resolution vehicle very commonly used in clashes involving design professionals. Mediation can also be used as a mechanism to better understand the claims and respective positions of the other parties to a dispute before or during litigation. Determining when parties are ready to mediate effectively, selecting the appropriate mediator, and agreeing to the structure of the mediation are all considerations that are vital to the process. This webinar is written and presented by respected construction attorneys Jacqueline Pons-Bunney, Esq. and Peter Stacy, Esq. (W&D Law, LLP, Irvine, CA) who run the Practice Coach service for AIA members through the AIA Trust. They will provide design professionals insight into how mediation is used to resolve claims or to further the investigation of complex issues commonly found in construction-related litigation.
