Tour - The Science Behind the Beauty: Discovering Biomimicry and Biophilia in Lurie Garden

Lurie Garden at Millennium Park: NW corner of Monroe Street & Columbus Drive

As a follow up to our "Bio-What?" discussion last month, take a walk and discover examples of biomimicry and biophilia for yourself and discuss their application to design with local practitioners. Weather permitting, join local architects Susan Heinking, AIA and Amy Coffman Phillips with ecologist Scott Kuykendall for an inspirational guided tour of the grounds at the Lurie Gardens.

And after the tour, walk over to the Pritzker Pavilion for the 8pm Grant Park Music Festival concert. Bring your dinner or purchase something in the park!

Meeting location: We will gather at the bottom of the stairs located at the northwest corner of Monroe Street & Columbus Drive.
