The Chicago Department of Planning and Development (DPD) oversees the City’s zoning and land use policies, and employs a variety of resources to encourage business and real estate development, as well as a diverse neighborhoods and stable housing. Deputy Commissioner Eleanor Gorski, AIA, LEED AP, will provide an overview of DPD and current planning initiatives:

Eleanor will also discuss interdepartmental and interagency collaboration with the Chicago Department of Transportation, Chicago Park District, Chicago Transit Authority, and other relevant entities. She will also explain goals for DPD coordination with the city’s new Chief Resiliency Officer, Aaron Koch.
