KATHERINE DARNSTADT, AIA
Architect, educator, and founder + principal of Latent Design, a collaborative of individuals whose projects focus on social, economic and environmental impact beyond the building. Since founding her practice in 2010, Katherine and her firm have been recognized as an emerging leader in the architecture profession and have been published, exhibited and featured widely, most notably at the International Venice Biennale, Core 77 Design Awards, Chicago Ideas Week, NPR, and as the 2013 AIA Young Architects Honor Award winner.DAN WHEELER, FAIA
Dan Wheeler is a founding principal of Wheeler Kearns Architects and is a Professor of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He works and practices to educate his colleagues, clients, and students of what architecture can bring to elevate experience, and the responsibilities that come with this ever optimistic endeavor. Dan is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Traveling Fellowship in 1980, the CCAIA Young Architect Award (1985), AIA Fellowship (for Design, ‘98) and the Chicago Tribune’s “Chicagoan of the Year” in Architecture (’08).
LAURA GARCIA, AIA
Laura founded Laura Garcia Design in 2010, after nearly 20 years of experience in the commercial architecture world, with the goal of creating a vibrant architecture practice dedicated to client service and exceptional design. Laura is an enthusiastic problem solver who enjoys unique challenges and unusual project constraints. Her approach is framed around carefully listening to her client’s goals, desires, and concerns, so that she can guide them to successful project completion.SCOTT RAPPE, AIA
Scott founded Kuklinski+Rappe in 1998, a small architectural firm dedicated to serving the needs of families, small businesses and the communities they inhabit. The firm is the recipient of AIA Chicago’s Small Project Awards - Citation of Merit in both 2012 and 2013. Scott served as a President of AIA Chicago’s Board of Directors in 2014.MICHAEL WILKINSON, AIA
Michael Wilkinson has been practicing architecture in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois for almost 25 years. His work focuses on the design of highly crafted, environmentally responsible and conceptually rigorous buildings and spaces and tends to be modern in appearance, collaborative in process, and creative in approach, having won multiple design awards and appearing in publications such as the Chicago Tribune, Dwell Magazine, Chicago Architect, and Metropolitan Home.
