AIA Chicago's Young Architects Forum (YAF) will be hosting a special tour of Threshold Acoustics on Wednesday, March 9th. The firm will be presenting a few recently projects as well as a demonstration of their sound lab. Please arrive promptly at 6:00 pm to 141 W. Jackson Blvd. After checking in with building security, take the elevators up to Suite 2080.
Threshold Acoustics LLC provides room acoustics and audio/video design consulting services for performance and education facilities, worship spaces, cultural centers, and other places of public assembly. Their staff have backgrounds in music, theater, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, live sound, architecture,and architectural acoustics. Their collective experience, based on a remarkable diversity of work, has led them to work with clients who seek intentional, well-crafted soundscapes in their buildings.
Afterward, join us for drinks at The Option Room, located nearby at 401 S LaSalle, where tables & space near the bar has been reserved for our group.
